Step 1: Fill
- Fill your spa following user manual instructions. Always fill your spa by removing a filter and putting the hose in the intake hole.
Step 2: Heat
- Heat your spa pool to the desired temperature using touch-pad.
Step 3: Water Treatment
- Ensure the cover is off and the pump running.
- Dose spa with Spa World approved sanitiser 5 grams per 1,000 litres.
- The litreage of your spa is on the specification sheet.
- Press the clean cycle this will run for 20 minutes.
Step 4: Test Water the following day
- Use test strips. Follow the instructions on the container.
- Test trips should be used for pH, alkalinity and Total Hardness. Santiser level (Bromine or Chlorine) should be maintained using the dosing instructions on the container, not the test strips.
- Ensure you have sanitised with BioGuard Armour the previous day before testing or the reading will not show
Step 5: Water Balance
Balance pH
- If the pH is too LOW, add alkalinity increaser (alkalinity up).
- If the pH is too HIGH, add pH decreaser (pH down).
Balance Alkalinity
- If the Alkalinity is too LOW, add alkalinity increaser (alkalinity up).
- If the Alkalinity is too HIGH, add pH decreaser (pH down).
Note: Unbalanced spa water can damage your spa pumps and heaters. |
Step 6: Water Hardness
Total hardness
This can be done a few days after start up and usually only affects those on bore or tank water supply.
- If total hardness reading is too LOW, add calcium increaser.
- If total hardness reading is too HIGH add water softener.
Note: Low water hardness can damage your spa pumps and heater. High water hardness will create a build-up of scale. |
