What is the amperage requirement for spa pools?

All electrical work must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The maximum current rating for a standard power point is 10 amps. The Australian Standard AS/NZS 3112 specifies larger pins and differently shaped ground pins for power points with current ratings of 15, 20, 25 and 32 amps.

Power points are available specifically for external use - these are required to have a special weather proofing rating (to a minimum of IP67). Our spas have amperage ratings of 10,15,32 and 40 amps.

Note: Please review our website to check the specification sheet for the spa model that you are purchasing. If you are unsure please contact one of our Customer Consultants via online chat.
